The Gymnastics East Conference named the University of Pennsylvania Quakers the 2023 regular season conference champion for the second year in a row on March 13, 2023. The Quakers ended the regular season with a 195.015 NQS and a season high of a 195.25. Penn finished the 2nd GEC season with a 7-2 record for conference meets.
"We are so proud of this team and the hard work that went into capturing the regular season title,” says Quakers Head Coach, Kirsten Becker. “We’ve been focused on preparation and consistency over all else since the start of pre season, and that’s really been the highlight of the year for us. We are looking forward to finishing up with a great championship competition this Saturday!”
Penn will be competing at William & Mary in the GEC Championships on Saturday, March 18. The Quakers will be in Session 2 with the other GEC top 4 teams, Brown, West Chester, and Yale. Session 2 will consist of GEC teams ranked 5th-8th, Cornell, SCSU, W&M, and Bridgeport.
