Penn Captures 2026 GEC Regular Season

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Penn Quakers women's gymnastics secured the 2026 Gymnastics East Conference regular season championship, marking the fifth consecutive title for Penn and continuing the program’s perfect run since the founding of the Gymnastics East Conference.

Penn delivered the best regular season in program history, finishing with 23 wins and a team National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.286. The Quakers remained at the top of the conference standings throughout the entire season and reached a season-high team score of 196.000, demonstrating their consistency and depth across all four events.

Head coach Kirsten Becker credited the team’s commitment to consistency as a key factor in the program’s continued success. “I am so proud of our team this season to earn the regular season title,” said Becker. “Throughout the season, we primarily focused on consistency both in practice and competition and I was very proud to see the follow through to accomplish this. We’re hoping to showcase this on Saturday for the GEC Championship!”

The Quakers now turn their focus to the 2026 GEC Championship, set for Saturday, March 21, at Cornell University
