Gymnast of the Week: Jordan Barrow (Penn)

Penn’s Jordan Barrow delivered another standout performance, earning GEC Gymnast of the Week honors. She impressively stuck her Yurchenko Full on vault for the second consecutive week, scoring 9.850—tying for first place at the #23 North Carolina Quad Meet. Barrow has now claimed the vault title in three straight meets (four overall), helping the Quakers achieve their highest vault score of the season (48.975), the fourth-best in program history. She also excelled on bars, posting a 9.800 to match her career high and contribute to Penn’s fifth-best bars score (49.050). With a 9.725 on beam (t-15th place), her efforts propelled Penn past the 195 threshold for the third straight week. Barrow’s dominance on vault continues, as her 9.850 tied for the best score among all GEC gymnasts this week.


Specialist of the Week: Maya Davis (Brown)

Brown’s Maya Davis dazzled on floor with a near-flawless routine, earning a 9.875 to claim first place and the title of GEC Specialist of the Week. She also delivered a strong performance on bars, scoring 9.775 to secure third place overall, contributing to Brown’s season-high score on the event. Davis’ impressive performances helped the Bears post their second-highest team total of the season (194.575) in a tri-meet victory over RIC and SCSU. With her consistency and standout routines, Davis continues to be a key contributor to Brown’s success.


Newcomer of the Week: Hailey Kriz (Yale)

Yale’s Hailey Kriz continues to shine in her debut season, earning her second GEC Newcomer of the Week honor this season. Competing with poise and confidence, Kriz posted three strong scores on vault, bars, and beam, leading the Bulldogs in all three events. She set two new career highs, scoring 9.775 on bars (T-13th) and an impressive 9.875 on beam (3rd), while also delivering a 9.750 on vault (T-9th). Her standout performances played a crucial role in Yale’s success and highlighted her growing impact as a first-year competitor.
