NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK - CALISTA BRADY (Barrington, IL), a Sophomore from Cornell University, was voted GEC Newcomer of the Week on February 15th, 2022. Coach Hall stated that Brady has been working hard to break into the floor lineup regularly, and this week, she nailed her routine scoring an impressive 9.9, winning 1st for the meet and putting her at the team's 3rd highest score in the record books. She also recorded a 9.675 on vault which tied for 3rd.
PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK - MCCALEIGH MARR (Newtown Square, PA), a Junior from Penn was voted GEC Performance of the Week on February 15th, 2022. McCaleigh delivered another solid bar routine, contributing to a season high team bar score with a 9.75. She also tied the individual program record on beam with a near perfect 9.95, which was the highest score for a Quaker in more than 21 years. Marr won beam and placed 8th on bars against Towson.
︎︎︎︎GYMNAST OF THE WEEK - KENDAL TOY (Coppell, TX), a Senior from Yale, was voted GEC Gymnast of the Week on February 15th, 2022.︎︎In a meet that meant so much to the Bulldogs, Toy was able to secure a win on every event she competed. She earned personal bests on bars and beam, scoring a 9.85 and 9.825 respectively. Her 9.85 on bars contributed to Yale’s second highest bars team score in program history. Toy also posted a 9.775 on floor.
