Gymnast of the Week: Abby Kenney (Bridgeport)
University of Bridgeport’s Abby Kenney continues to shine as she earns Gymnastics East Conference Gymnast of the Week honors following an outstanding all-around performance. Kenney delivered a stellar meet, hitting 4-for-4 and securing a career-high 9.875 on beam to claim first place. She also posted a season-best all-around score of 39.05, taking the top spot. Her consistent performances included a 9.7 on vault (8th), 9.7 on bars (6th), and 9.775 on floor (8th). Kenney’s reliability week after week make her a standout competitor and a key contributor to the Purple Knights.
Specialist of the Week: Caroline Cascadden (WCU)
West Chester University’s Caroline Cascadden delivered a standout performance to earn Gymnastics East Conference Specialist of the Week honors. Cascadden posted impressive 9.8 scores on both the balance beam (T-2nd) and floor exercise (T-3rd), helping her team achieve season highs on both events. A strong leader and consistent competitor, she continues to play a crucial role for the Golden Rams on beam and floor.
Newcomer of the Week: EmmaGrace Kelly (WCU)
West Chester University’s EmmaGrace Kelly continues to impress, earning Gymnastics East Conference Specialist of the Week honors after another strong two event performance. The first-year set a career-high 9.8 on balance beam (T-2nd) and matched her career-high 9.825 on floor exercise (2nd) while anchoring the lineup for the first time—an incredible feat for a newcomer. Her strong routines played a key role in helping WCU achieve season highs on both events.
