Gymnast of the Week: Lindsey Yang (Yale)

Lindsey Yang (Hillsborough, Ca.) had a huge day for the Bears, setting new career highs while winning both beam (9.925) and floor (9.875) in Brown’s 194.300–194.275 road win at Yale on Sunday. Her 9.925 on beam tied a 25-year-old program record, marking just the second time in program history a Brown gymnast has reached that score and the first since 2001. Yang also competed vault, scoring a 9.525, as her performances were instrumental in Brown edging out the Bulldogs.

Specialist of the Week: Abby Royer (SCSU)

Abby Royer (Boyertown, Pa.) competed for the first time this season and closed the Owls Quad Meet with a standout floor routine, posting a school-record 9.950. The senior specialist’s score was a personal best and is tied for the highest floor score this season across all NCAA divisions.

Co-Newcomer of the Week: Ananya Patanakul (Penn)

Ananya Patanakul (Erie, Pa.) delivered a key performance in just her second collegiate event as a Quaker, placing second overall on vault with a 9.775, just 0.025 behind first place. Penn finished first on the vault and first overall at the meet, with Patanakul’s performance playing a major role in the team result.

Co-Newcomer of the Week: Annie Bible (Yale)

Annie Bilbe (Covington, La.) continued to make an immediate impact for Yale, scoring a 9.625 on vault from the No. 2 position with her tucked Tsukahara full and adding a 9.825 on floor, which placed third overall in the meet. Bilbe entered the floor lineup for the first time this season and delivered a strong performance in both events.
