Gymnast of the Week: Liza Marcus – Brown

Liza Marcus was a steady presence for Brown in its season-opening quad meet against Rhode Island College, Southern Connecticut State, and Springfield College, earning Gymnast of the Week honors. Competing on three events, Marcus recorded a pair of top-two finishes, including a win on bars with a 9.800, and helped lead the Bears to a 193.025 team score, the highest season-opening score in program history. She tied her career-high on beam with a 9.825 to place second and added a 9.775 on floor to tie for sixth.


Specialist of the Week: Hana Strause – Yale

Hana Strause opened her senior season with strong performances on beam and floor for Yale against Penn State, earning Specialist of the Week recognition. On beam, Strause delivered a key routine following a fall in the lineup, scoring a 9.775 to tie for the third-highest mark in the meet. She also competed in the leadoff position on floor, earning a 9.750 and helping Yale post a 48.775 team score on the event.


Newcomer of the Week: Rehna Saalinger – Brown

Making her collegiate debut, Rehna Saalinger made an immediate impact for Brown, earning Newcomer of the Week honors. She won beam with a 9.850, helping the Bears post a 193.025 team score, the highest season-opening score in program history.
