Co-Gymnast of the Week: Abby Kenney (Bridgeport)
Senior Abby Kenney (Brick, N.J.) turned in an outstanding all-around performance on Sunday, recording the highest all-around score in the GEC this week with a 39.125, her second-highest total of the season. Kenney posted a career-high 9.850 on bars to win the event and added a season-high 9.850 on beam to finish second. She also contributed scores on vault (9.625) and floor (9.800) as her performances counted toward all four event totals. Kenney helped lead Bridgeport’s bars squad to a season-high team total of 48.775. This marks her second GEC Gymnast of the Week honor this season.
Co-Gymnast of the Week: Jordan Barrow (Penn)
Junior Jordan Barrow (Jackson, Tenn.) was a key contributor for Penn in both meets this week as the Quakers finished second in each competition. At the Temple Quad, Barrow highlighted the meet with a 9.850 on beam to place third, while also adding a 9.800 on bars. She followed that performance with another strong showing at the Pink Invitational, finishing top five in all three of her events, including a first-place finish on beam with a 9.875, along with a 9.825 on vault (3rd) and 9.800 on bars (T-5th). This marks Barrow’s second GEC Gymnast of the Week honor this season.
Specialist of the Week: Hannah Burke (W&M)
Senior Hannah Burke (Herndon, Va.) delivered a standout performance at the 2nd Annual HBCU Classic, capturing event titles on both vault and floor. Burke posted a season-best 9.775 on vault and followed with a career-high 9.900 on floor, which ties for the sixth-best score in program history on the event. Her first-place finishes helped lead William & Mary to season-high team scores on vault (48.625) and floor (48.900).
Newcomer of the Week: Annie Bilbe (Yale)
First-year Annie Bilbe (Covington, La.) continued her impressive rookie season with a strong showing at the Pink Invitational against Rutgers, Penn, and West Chester. Bilbe posted a 9.750 on vault and added a 9.825 on floor to tie for third place. Her consistent performances have made her a key contributor in Yale’s lineups throughout the season. This marks Bilbe’s fifth GEC Newcomer of the Week honor this year.
