GEC PREPARES FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS


The Gymnastics East Conference closed out the regular season this weekend, and look forward to the inaugural GEC Championships this Saturday, March 19th in Providence, Rhode Island. Brown University will be hosting the Championships at Pizzitola Sports Center. The sessions will run as follows:


1st Session - 1:00 PM Vault - William & Mary Bars - University of Bridgeport Beam - Cornell University Floor - Southern Connecticut State University


2nd Session - 6:00 PM Vault - University of Pennsylvania Bars - Brown University Beam - West Chester University Floor - Yale University


(Sessions are determined by ranking. Teams in 5th-8th place in the GEC compete in Session 1. Teams ranked 1st-4th compete in Session 2. Starting events determined by random draw.)

Rankings are based on a team's and an all-around competitor's six best regular-season meet scores, of which three must be away. To obtain the national qualifying score (NQS), the high score is eliminated and the remaining five scores are averaged.
